My name is Jasmine Spaights and I was born in Brooklyn Ny. Since I was a little girl, I’ve been sketching and making my own illustrations and designs. Creating clothes is a passion that comes from my grandmother, who taught me how to create craft projects which eventually turned into me learning how to sew. I’ve worked in the fashion industry for the last ten years from production and sales to design and distribution. 

My current role is working as an Technical Designer in the industry. This position has taught me so much and I have gain so much hands on experience with fitting and technical packages. Working at Ralph Lauren has also given me a chance to give back to my community with numerous programs and workshops. I have volunteered at the St Francis Food Pantry, Room to Grow Project, and I have made surgery dolls for children in the Cancer Center. 

I graduated from Art Institute of New York City and am currently working on another degree at The New School University. I created Barely Naked Designs because I always wanted to have my own brand that actually focus on the customer needs and provides quality work.
